RESOLUTION NO. 4615 <br /> <br />Messr~ 7gelley, Usher, Ward, Wendling, <br /> Gaydos, Graber, Gaydos, Huffman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public <br />Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of <br />various items of motor vehicle equipment for the Department of <br />Public Works and the rental of uniforms for various employees <br />of the Divisions of Refuse, Streets, Parks and Water. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments; now~ therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVEO BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or <br />contracts for the purchase of the following motor vehicle <br />equipment: <br /> <br />two (2) packer trucks for the Division of Refuse <br />one (1)~ sedan for the Division of Streets <br />one (1) truck for the Division of Water <br />one (1) Jeep for the Division of Parks <br />one (1) ice resurfacing machine for Winterhurst Ice Rink <br />one (t) dump truck for the Division of Refuse <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present equipment for such new <br />vehicles, with the lowest and best bidders after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Sectmon 2. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />rental of uniforms for various employees of the Divisions of <br />Refuse, Streets, Parks and Water, with the lowest and best bidder <br />after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Sectzon 3. That this resolution zs declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council it shall take effect and be in <br />force ir~nediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: March 18, 1968 <br /> <br /> ~obert.E.
