RESOLUTION NO. 4700 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Ward, Wendling, <br /> Huffman, Kelley, Usher <br /> <br />Gaydos,Graber, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the sympathy of the Council and the <br />Administration of the City of Lakewood to the family of the late <br />Terrence P. Kilbane, Pfc. U. S. Army° <br /> <br /> I~IEI~AS, The Council of the City of Lakewood desires to honor <br />the memory of our brave young men serving in Vier Nam who have unsel- <br />fishly sacrificed their lives for the freedom of mankind, and whose <br />passing should not go unnoticed by the residents of our co~m~unity; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Terrence P. Kllbane was a resident of the City of <br />Lakewood, where he attended St. Rose's School and St. Edwards High <br />S~hool, and, <br /> <br /> WBEREA~, Terrence P. Kilbane was graduated from St. Edwards <br />High School tn June of 1966 and then attended Cleveland State Univer- <br />sity for a year studying business, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, TerreUce P. Kllbane was a valuable employee of the <br />City of Lakewood, Department of Streets, from July of 1967 until <br />April of 1968 at ufaich time he entered the Army, and, <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, Terrence P. Kilbsne was sent to Vier H~m in October <br />of 1968 as a grenade launcher expert in a rifle company with the <br />Fourth Infantry Division, and was killed in action on February 6, <br />1969, and, <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, Terrence P. Kilbanewas a loyal and patriotic young <br />man who recognized his duty to serve his country during war time, <br />and deserves our gratitude and respect for nmkiug the ultimate sac- <br />rifice; now, therefore: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THECOUECIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this entire Council and the Administration <br />honors the memory of~Terrence P. Kilbane, and extends deepest sympathy <br />to his wife, LiMa, and his three week old daughter Kelley, residing <br />at 1509 Mars Avenue, and to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Kllbane, <br />and sisters Judith and Karen, all residing at 1540 Hopkins Avenue. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to present e certified copy of this resolution <br />to the family of Terrence P. Ktlbane, and that a copy of this resolution <br />be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
