RESOLUTION NO. 4730 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendting, Gaydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract for the purchase of <br />two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt for the period commen~- <br />ing November 1, 1969 and ending March 31, 1970. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide safety for vehicular and <br />pedestrian traffic during the winter months, it is necessary <br />to purchase salt, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAK~4OOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Sectzon 1. That the Director of Public Works be ~n~ he <br />zs hereby authorized nnd directed to enter into a contract for <br />the purchase of two thousand (2,000) tons of rock salt for the <br />period commencing November 1, 1969 and ending March 31, 1970~ <br />for the Department of Public Works, with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its~ adoption and approval by <br /> <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: , <br /> <br />President / <br />Clerk/ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
