RESOLUTION NO. 4767 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Huffman, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Ward, Gsydos, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as Director <br />of Public Safety to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase <br />of eleven (11) new police cars for the Department of Public Safety and <br />one (1) new aerial tower for the Fire Department of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in <br />that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor as Director of Public Safety be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contracts for <br />~the purchase of the following equipment: <br /> <br />Eleven (11) Police cars with trade-ins <br />One (1) Aerial Tower with trade-in <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present vehicles for such new vehicles <br />with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement according <br />to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force irmnediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Vice PreSident ~' <br /> qlerk. <br /> ~ayor <br /> <br /> <br />
