Huffman, Usher, Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber AN EMERGI~CY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Finance Director of the City of Lakewood to accept the principal and interest on special assess- ment levied on permanent parcel number 313-25-34, and known for street num- bering purposes as~1495 Orchard Grove on the Cuyahogs County Auditor's records and authorizing th~ County Auditor to cancel said special assessment for the year 1971. WIIEREAS, Tire City has special assessment charged against the property herein- after described and levied under Ordinance 36-66, adopted by the Council of tire City of Lakewood on April 18, 1966, and, WHEREAS, The owner of the said property has tendered payment of the principal portion and interest on the special assessment lev~ed on said parcel pursuant to the provisions of Section 5719.16 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio, and, WNEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY TNE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OtlIO: Section 1. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood be and he is hereby authorized and directed to accept the sum of $14.62 tendered in payment of the principal and interest for the year 1971, of special assessment charged against the property described as permanent parcel number 313-25-34 on the Auditor's records of Cuyahoga County, Ohio and levied under Ordinance No. 36-66 adopted by the Council of the. City of Lakewood on April 18, 1966. Section 2. That said special assessment as hereinbefore set forth having been accepted as set forth in Section 1 heroof, a~d the Auditor of Cuyahoga County be and he is hereby authorized to cancel said special assessment for the year 1971, levied under Ordinance No. 36-66, adopted by the Council of the City of Lakewood on April 18, 1966, on pe~nanent parcel number 313~25-34~ eaclr annual assessment being in the amount of $14.62. Section 3o That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to deliver a certified copy of this resolution to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County for the purpose of baying said special assessment canceled. Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it rec.eives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of ali. members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force in~ediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
