RESOLUTION NO. ~ 4860 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Kelley, Magnotto, <br />McBride, Usher, Wendling, <br />Brockman, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Public Works to enter into a contract, after approval <br />by Council, for the construction of approximately 1900 feet of <br />S-inch water main, connections and necessary appurtances, in <br />Spring Garden Avenue extending from Detroit Avenue south to <br />Franklin Boulevard. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined to proceed with <br />the improvement set forth in the title hereof by contract, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the irmmediate preservation of the public health and <br />safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he <br />is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the construction <br />of approximately L900 feet of 8-inch water main, connections and <br />necessary appurtances in Spring Garden Avenue extending from Detroit <br />Avenue south to Franklin Boulevard, in accordance with plans pre- <br />pared therefore in the office of the Director of Public Works, with <br />the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law, <br />and only after approval of such contract by the Council of the City <br />of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to ~e an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble he~eof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />i~nediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
