RESOLUTION NO. 4894 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Graber, Kelley, Magnotto, Mc~Bride, <br /> Usher, Wendling, Brockman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION designating Robert M. Lawther, Mayor, as the official <br />of the City of Lakewood who is authorized and empowered to execute the necessary ap- <br />plication form and file it in the appropriate State office for the purpose of obtaining <br />certain Federal financial ~ssistance under the Disaster Relief Act (Public Law 606, <br />91st Congress). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in that the City of Lakewood was struck by <br />violent storms on June 23 - 27, 1972, causing damage to the public facilities of said <br />City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to make immediate application for reimbursement of <br />funds expended for repairing the damage done to the public facilities by such storm, <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said City of Lakewood is in need of aid in financing the emer- <br />gency repairs and placing in service its public facilities, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this~ Resolution is necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br /> public property, health and safety; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Robert M. Lawther, Mayor, is hereby authorized and directed <br />to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood, a public entity established under <br />the laws of the State of Ohio, an application for the purpose of obtaining certain <br />Federal financial assistance under the Disaster Relief Act (Public Law 606, 91st Congress) <br />and to file it in the appropriate State office. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
