RESOLUTION NO. 4897 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, Usher, Wendling, <br />Brockman, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public <br />Works to enter into a contract, after approval by Council, for the construction <br />of approximately 600 feet of storm sewer in Cordova Avenue extending from Winton <br />Avenue to Detroit Avenue. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council has determined to proceed with the improvement set <br />forth in the title hereof by contract, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the irmnediate preservation of the public health and safety and for the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized <br />to enter into a contract for the construction of approximately 600 feet of storm <br />sewer in Cordova Avenue extending from Winton Avenue to Detroit Avenue, in ac- <br />cordance with plans prepared therefore in the office of the Director of Public <br />Works, with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law, and <br />only after approval of such contract by the Council of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the af- <br />firmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />V'ee President / <br /> ~ayor <br /> <br /> <br />
