RESOLUTION NO. 4901 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend John J. Kelley, Jr. <br />a Councihnan in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> BY: Messrs. Brockman, Graber, <br /> Magnotto, McBride, Usher, <br /> Wendling, Werner <br />for his public service as <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John J. Kelley, Jr. was elected to the Office of Councilman- <br />at-Large of the City of Lakewood for the term beginning January 1, 1966 and <br />served continu¢~usly in that capacity until a business move necessitated his <br />resignation effective September 15, 1972, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Kelley ably and with distinction served this Council and <br />the con. unity as Chairman of the vital committees' on Finance and Planning and <br />Zoning and served as President of this Council from January 3, 1972 to the date <br />of his resignation, and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, prior to his election to Council, Mr~ Kelley served as a <br />member of the Police Pension Board and the Lakewood Board of Zoning Appeals <br />and throughout his career in public service evidenced continued interest in the <br />progr~s and welfare of our community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his more than six and one-half years tenure as a <br />Councilman, Mr. Kelley was recognized as a conscientious, effective and respected <br />legislator, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the outstanding public service <br />rendered by Mr. Kelley be given public cognizance and recognition, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY TI~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Mr. John J~ K~lley, Jr. its <br />appreclation= and that of all the citizens of this commu~ity, for his more than <br />six and one-half years of distinguished public service as Councilman in the City <br />of Lakewood, and further that this Council wishes him continued success in his <br />new business endeavors. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mr. John J.
