RESOLUTION NO. 4933 BY: Messrs. McBride, Usher, Wendling, Brockman, Graber, Magnotto AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract for the razing and clearing of dwellings and garages located at: 1377-1375, 1371-1373, 1361, 1359, 1357, 1353, 1349-1351, 1347, 1343, 1339-1337-1335 St. Charles Avenue and at: 1374, 1370, 1366-1368, 1362-1364, 1358-1360, 1354, 1350,'1346, 1342 and 1338 Belle Avenue in the City of Lakewood, Ohio. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood Council has requested the Director of Public Works to construct a multi-level municipal parking garage on the above listed parcels of land, and, WHEREAS, it is immediately necessary to remove said structures in order to proceed with the construction of the multi-level municipal parking garage, and, WHEREAS, this resolution Constitutes an emergency measure in that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public health and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOU, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the razing and clearing o~ the above listed dwellings and garages, with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law. Section 2. That the cost of said work shall be paid from the Downtown Parking Garage Fund. Section 3. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, ?
