RESOLUTION NO.: 4950 <br /> <br />BY: Sinagra, Usher, Werner, Brockman, <br /> Magnotto, McBride <br /> <br /> AN Eb~RGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a contract, after approval by Council, <br />for the construction of approximately 315 feet of 8-inch water main in <br />Lake Avenue from Maple Cliff Drive to Erie Cliff Drive and approximately <br />200 feet of 8-inch water main in Alameda Avenue from Detroit Avenue to <br />a point approximately 200 feet south of Detroit Avenue, together with <br />connections and necessary appurtenances. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined to proceed with the <br />improvement set forth in the title hereof by contract, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the construction of <br />approximately 315 feet of 8-inch water main in Lake Avenue from Maple <br />Cliff Drive to Erie Cliff Drive and approximately 200 feet of 8~inch <br />water main in Alameda Avenue from Detroit Avenue to a point approximately <br />200 feet south of Detroit Avenue, together with connections and necessary <br />appurtenances, in accordance with plmns prepared therefore in the office <br />of the Director of Public Works, with the lowest and best bidder after <br />advertisement according to law, and only after approval of such contract <br />by the Council of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and' <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force ir~mediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Approved~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
