RESOLUTION NO. 5096 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to coramend the Pyramid Cafe Softball Team, sponsored by <br />the Pyramid Cafe, upon becoming the 1975 World's Slow Pitch Champions. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Pyramid Cafe Softball Team entered the 1975 Lakewood <br />Major Men's Softball League and proceeded to win the League championship in <br />its first year of participation, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the American Softball Association Tournament held at <br />Madison Park in August 1975 the Pyramid Cafe team emerged as Regional ASA <br />Champions, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as the Lakewood Major Men's Softball League representative, <br />the Pyramid Cafe team participated in the 1975 World's Slow Pitch Championships <br />and in September 1975 was crowned the 1975 ASA Men's Open Slow Pitch Softball <br />World Champions, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by this outstanding accomplishment Mr. Chet Oblock, as <br />Manager and Sponsor, and the Pyramid Cafe team have brought due recognition <br />and honor, not only to themselves but to the Lakewood Softball League and the <br />Lakewood community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such accomplishment should be recognized in a proper and <br />fitting manner;now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVE~ BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council extends its congratulations <br />and commends Sponsor and Manager, Chet Oblock, and the Pyramid Cafe team on its <br />outstanding accomplishment in becoming the 1975 ASA Men's Open Slow Pitch Softball <br />World's Champion. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
