RESOLUTION NO. 514o BY: Messrs. McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, Usher, Chinnock AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authoriling and directing the Director of Public Works to advertise for bids for the sandblasting and joint sealing of the two swimming pools at Madison Park in accordance with the specifications; WHEREAS close of the 1975 and, the City of Lakewood inspected these pools at the season and found they were badly in need of repairs', WHEREAS, the City Department of Health in their last inspection found these pools to be in an unsafe condition, and, WHEREAS, specifications have been prepared and are on file in the office of the Director of Public Works, and, WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a n-unicipal department and for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section~ 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the sandblasting and joint sealing of the two swimming pools in Madison Park in accordance with specifications on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. Section 2. That the advertisement for said bids shall provide for and require that bids for the sandblasting and joint sealing shall be in accordance with said specifications. Section 3. That the funds for this project shall come from Community Development Block Grant Funds available for this purpose. Section 4, That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all menibers elected to Council, it shall be deemed to be in effect upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. / P r eF~J~ f Clerk
