RESOLUTION NO.: 5176 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a requirement contract for the purchase of <br />the necessary requirements of Valves and Pipe Fittings for the period of <br />one year commencing January 1, 1977, for use in the Division of Water. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase of valves and pipe fittings are necessary <br />to the operation of the Water Department, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure pro- <br />viding for the immediate oreservation of the public health and safety and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIOu. <br /> <br /> ~ Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereb~ authorizea to a~dvertise for bids for the purchase of valves and <br />pipe i[ittings and to enter into a requirement contract for the period <br />of on~ year with the-lowest and best bidder after advertisement according <br />to lav~. <br /> <br /> ' Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- <br />vided]it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon ~ts adoption and ~pproval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: 7~.~, ~/~.~ 'f?/t/ _ <br /> <br /> <br />
