RESOLUTION NO 5z77 <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to enter into a requirement contract for the purchase of <br />the necessary items of Fire Hydrants and Fire Hydrant Parts for a period <br />of one year commencing January l, 1977. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase of fire hydrants and fire hydrant parts <br />are necessary to the operation of the Water Department, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and for the <br />usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of fire hydrants and fire <br />hydrant parts and to enter into a requirement contract for the period of <br />one year with the lowest a;nd best bidder a(ter advertisement according to <br />law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- <br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Rpproved:~ ~ /~ <br /> <br /> <br />
