Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, <br /> <br /> AN~ EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to <br />enter into a contract for the demolition of a dwelling located'at 12231 Plover <br />Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has heretofore acquired title to the <br />real estate located at 12231 Plover Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the building located at said address is not fit for habita- <br />tion, has become vandalized, constitutes an eyesore and is a potential hazard <br />and threat to the community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation Qf the public health, safety and welfare <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF 0HIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract for the demolition of the building located <br />on the premises at 12231 Plover Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved:~/~.~ <br /> <br />Ci~r~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
