RESOLUTION NO. 5271 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Brockman, Brown, <br /> Chinnock, McBride, Salmon <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorzzlng the Director of Public Works to enter <br />into a contract or contracts for the rental of uniforms for the various <br />employees of the Divisions of Refuse, Streets, Parks, Water, Engineering, <br />Wastewater and Police. <br /> <br /> WHEP~EAS, it has been determined that the City of Lakewood will <br />furnish uniforms for certain employees, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, our present contract for the above service will expire <br />May 13, 1978, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT iIESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Sectzon 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for <br />the rental of uniforms for various employees of the Divzslons of Refuse, <br />Streets, Parks, Water, Engineering, Wastewater Treatment and Police, with <br />the lowest and best bidder, after advertisement according to law, for a <br />period of two years, commencing May 14, 1978. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolutIon is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- <br />vlded it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall be deemed to be in effect upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopte ~ <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
