~RESOLUTION NO. 5286 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Brown, Magnotto,.McBride, <br />Salmon, Usher, Brockman <br /> <br />AN ~ERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor of the City of <br />Lakewood to enter into a contract for the purchase of personal <br />injury liability insurance coverage for the protection of the <br />City of Lakewood and personnel protected by such insurance <br />effective June 15, 1978 for a one-year period. <br /> <br />WHERFAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in <br />that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Lakewoodbe and is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the purchase of <br />personal injury liability insurance coverage for the protection of <br />the City of Lakewoc~ and personnel protected by such insurance <br />and to be effective for a period not to exceed one (1) year, with <br />the lowest and bes~ bidder or bidders, after advertisement according <br />to law. <br /> <br />Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />~nergencymeasure for the reasons stated in the.preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> PreSide~ <br />/ Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
