Brockman, Brown, <br />Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, <br />Usher <br /> <br /> AN IIMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as ex-officio <br />Director of Public Works to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of various items of motor vehicle equipment for the Department <br />of Public Works of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Wt~REAS, this Resolution constitutes an ~nergency mes~m~e in <br />that it provides for the iranediate preservation of the public safety and <br />welfare, and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVEDBYTHECOUNCIL OFT HE CITY OFLJJ{EWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />be and he <br />contracts <br /> <br />Section I. That the Mayor as ex-officio Director of Public Works <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or <br />for the purchase of the followingmotor vehicle equipment: <br /> <br />T~vo Packer Trucks £orRefuseDepartment <br />One 3/4 Ton PickUp for Refuse Department <br />Two Four-Wheel Drive Vehicles with Snow Plows for Parks Dept. <br />Two 4-Door Sedans for Parking Meter Department <br />One Large Dump for Streets Department <br />One Sewer Rodder for Streets Department <br />(~]e 1 Ton Chassis for Streets Department <br />One 3/4 Ton Pick Up for Streets Department <br />Ywo Diesel Engines for Streets Department <br />One 4-Door Sedan for Water Department <br />One Step Van for Water Department <br />One Air Compressor for Water Department <br />One 3/4 Ton PickUp for Wastewater Treatment Plant <br /> <br />and for the sale or trade-in of present equipment on such new vehicles, with <br />the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The funds required for the purchase of the above-listed <br />equipment shall be provided from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund; provided, <br />however, equipment for the Water Department shall be provided from the Water <br />Fund and equipment for the Waste Water Treatment Plant shall be provided <br />from the Sewer Facilities Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force iranediately upon its adoption mhd approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest ~p~eriod allowed by law. <br /> <br /> ' <br /> <br /> / <br /> <br /> <br />
