RESOLUTION <br /> <br />5335 <br /> <br />BY: McBri ~, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto <br /> <br /> ~ EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to advertise for bids and enZer into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder after approval by Councml for the construction <br />of bathhouse facilities for handicapped swimmers as an addition to the <br />existing bathhouse at Foster Pool. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that bathhouse facilities <br />for handicapped swimmers should be made available at Foster Pool, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has authorized the preparation of construction <br />drawings, plans and specifications by the firm of Gensert Peller and Mancini, <br />and,. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the afore mentioned construction drawings,plans and <br />specifications are now on file in the Engineer's office, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constituteS an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the <br />immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE ITR£$0[VFD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA/<EWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law and <br />after approval by Council for the construction of bathhouse facilities <br />for handicapped swimmers as an addition to the existing bathhouse at <br />Foster Pool. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost of such construction is estimated at <br />$164,000.00, which funds are to made available from the 1978 Federal Revenue <br />Sharing Funds. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That thisre$olu[ion is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof providing <br />that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be <br />in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
