RESOLUTION NO. 5340 BY: <br /> <br />$~endling, BrOC]m~nn, Brown, <br />C~±nnock, ~agnotto, McBride, <br /> <br /> AN E~RGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, so accept such grant and enter into a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County Board of Cc~mississioners covering mini-bus <br />and small equipment, such grant providing partial funding for supplenental <br />funds under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the Cuyahoga County Board of Coranissioners is <br />ac~ninistering a program of grants from the Federal Government, under <br />Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act, whereby this City may obtain <br />monies to provide Programs for persons 60 years of age or older, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in need of financial assistance <br />in order to maintain the presen~ Programs for Senior Citizens, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the in~nedia~e preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that these funds can be obtained <br />a~ the presen~ time; now. therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVEDBYTHE COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF IAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of L~ewood, <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed ro enter into a contract <br />with the Cuyahoga County Board of Co~missioners, providing partial <br />funding of the City's Programs under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans <br />Act. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
