RESOLUTION NO. 5362 BY: Wendling, Brockman~ Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, Salmon AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Finance to pay the cost of membersh!ip of the City of Lakewood in The National League of Cities for the year 1979, and declaring such membership to be in the publl.c interest. WHEREAS, memberships of The City of Lakewood in organizations designed to enhance the operation of municipal departments by the exchange of ideas, information and experience is to the public benefit, and WHEREAS, it would be advantageous for The City of Lakewood to become a member of The National League of Cities in order to benefit from its programs, experience and information, and WHEREAS, membershp in this organization was not included in Resolution No. 5358 heretofore adopted by the Council on December 22, 1978, and WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That membership in The National League of Cities by The City of Lakewood is hereby declared to be in the public interest. Section pay the National 2.
