RESOLUTION NO. 5398 <br /> <br />BY: Brockman, Brown, Chinnock, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor of the City of <br />Lakewood to enter into a contract for the purchase of personal injury <br />liability insurance coverage for the protection of the City of Lakewood <br />and personnel protected by such insurance effective June 15, 1979 and <br />terminating February 1, 1980. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in <br />that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF:LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1, That the Mayor of the City of Lakewood be and is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contractlfor the purchase <br />of personal injury liability insurance coverage for the!protection of <br />the City of Lakewood and personnel protected by such insurance and to be <br />effective June 15, 1979 and terminating February l, 1980, with the lowest <br />and best bidder or bidders, after advertisement accordihg to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby d6clared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preambl~ hereof and pro- <br />vided ~t receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Councit, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Acting Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
