RESOLUTION NO. 5402 <br /> <br />BY: McBride, McNally, Salmon, <br /> Wendli~g, Brockman, Brown <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION in memory of the late Robert Neil Skinner, Physical <br />Education Teacher and Swimming Coach at Lakewood High SChool. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert Neil Skinner graduated from Kent State University <br />in 1953 and since that time had devoted himself to his chosen profession, <br />that of teacher and coach of young people, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Skinner came to the Lakewood SchOol System in 1968 <br />and served as physical education instructor and head swimming coach, as well <br />as driver training instructor, at Lakewood High School ~ntil his untimely <br />passing on May 3, 1979, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure as swimming coach at Lakewood High <br />School Mr. Skinner attained the enviable record of 125 meet wins as against <br />only 13 losses and his Lakewood Swim Teams were Lake Erie League Champions <br />nine years, and District Champions in 1972 and 1973, an~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Skinner was loved and respected 6y all of his students <br />and fellow faculty members and recognized as a loyal an~ dedicated educator, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council wishes to honor the memory of Robert Neil <br />Skinner and extend its condolences to his family, NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council honorslthe memory of <br />Robert Nell Skinner and extends deepest sympathy to hislwife, Shirley B. <br />Skinner and to the other members of his family, on the loss of their beloved <br />husband and father. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and She is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Shirley B. <br />Skinner, 1277 French Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, and that alcopy of this resolu- <br />tion be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br /> <br />
