/-~IENDED <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.: <br /> <br />5403 BY: <br /> <br />Brown, Chinnlock, McBride, McNally, <br />Salmon, Wendlling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Nay0r, as ex-officio <br />Director of Public Works to enter into a Contract for the purl~hase of a cover <br />for Foster Pool at Lakeweod Park with the lowest and best bidders after adver- <br />tisement according to law. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to retain water in Foster Pool. dCring the off <br />season to prevent damage to the pool sides and bottom, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this protective covering would prevent accidentslto trespassers <br />and help in keeping the water clear of debris, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure ~in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare <br />and for the usual dally operation of municipal departments, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as ex-officio Director of Publlic Works, be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contr!act with the <br />lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law for the purchase <br />of a cover for Foster Pool at Lakewood Park, at a cost not to 2xceed $12,000. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Cost of the aforementioned pool cover should b~ paid from <br />General Fund - Pools. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons Stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two~th£rds of all members elected to Couucil, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />ADOPTED: ',~ c(~. <br /> <br /> <br />
