RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />5414 <br /> <br />BY: Chinnock, McNally, Salmon, <br /> ~endling, Brockman, Brown <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulatioms to Tana Kay Carli <br />on being seleoted first runner-up to Miss America of 1980 at the <br />59th Annual Miss America Beauty Pageant. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Tana Kay Carli, a resident 0f the City of <br />Lakewood, achieved the high honor and distinction of being selected <br />as the first runner-up to Miss America of 19801at the 59th Annual <br />Miss AmeriCa Beauty Pageant held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, <br />September 8-8, 1979, and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, Tana Kay Carli is not only a young lady of great <br />beauty but an exceptional and accomplished musician as well, as <br />evidenced bly her winning the beauty pageant talent competition <br />through her, performance with the accordion, and <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, Miss Carlm qualified to compete in the national <br />beauty contlest by winning the title of Miss Ohlio in June of this <br />year and ha!s, by her accomplishments, brought pit,de and recognition <br />to our community and all of its residents, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council wishes to join with her many friends <br />and acquain2ances in congratulating Tana Kay Calrli upon achievmng <br />the high honor of being selected as first runner-up to Miss America <br />of 1980; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE ~ITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extendsl to Tana Kay Carll <br />its heartle'st congratulations, and that of all Of the cmtizens of <br />this community, on being selected first runner-Up to Miss America of <br />1980 at the~59th Annual Miss America Beauty Pageant and wishes her <br />continued years of happiness and success. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
