RE~OLU~ION NO. <br /> <br />5419 <br /> <br />BY: B~own, Chinnock, McBride, McNalt <br /> Sailmon, Wendling, Brockman :~ <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, <br />on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to make applicatRon for financial <br />assistance under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act <br />of 1974, as amended, for an Urban Development Action Grant for the <br />implementation of the Lakewood Town Center Plan. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been determined by the United <br />States Department of Housing and Community Development as an eligible <br />program agent for an Urban Development Action Grantl, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in need oB financial assmstance <br />to implement Phases II, III and IV of the Lakewood Town Center Plan, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that these funds must be applied <br />for at the earliest possible time; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to make,application for an <br />Urban Development Action Grant pursuant to Title I 0f the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby,declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force mmmediately upon <br />its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />/ P ident X// <br /> <br /> <br />
