RESOLUTION NO. 5425 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Chinnock, McBride, <br />Salmon, Wendling <br />Brockman, Brown <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Leonard A. Mikula for his <br />public service as Director of Finance of the Qity of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Leonard A. Mikula first beqame associated with <br />the City on June 8, 1970, was appointed Assistant Finance Director <br />in May, 1972 and on April 1, 1976 was elevated to the position of <br />Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his ready acceptance of reslponsibility and <br />his rapid promotion are evidence of his leadelrship ability, <br />devotion to his community and desire to renden outstanding service <br />and ' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, through his personal warmthl and genuine interest <br />in his chosen profession, Mr. Mikula has won tlhe respect and <br />affection of his fellow City employees and alll those who came in <br />contact with him during his tenure with the Cilty, and <br /> <br /> WHERAS, Leon.ard A~ Mikula has won th~ admiration and <br />due recognition of his colleagues throughout the state as evidenced <br />by his service as the current Treasurer of thel Municipal Finance <br />Officers Association of Northeastern Ohio and his active membership <br />in the Municipal Finance Officers Association lof the United States <br />and Canada and the Treasurers' Association Ohio Chapter, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under his leadership and dibection the Finance <br />Department has achieved an enviable record of performance and <br />service, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Leonard A. Mikula has resigned his position <br />with the City of Lakewood effective December 11, 1979 to accept <br />employment with the firm of Peat, Marwick, MitChell & Co; mow, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THEiCITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Leonard A~ Mikula <br />its appreciation and that of the citizens of tBis community for <br />his more than nine years of distinguished publi~ service to the <br />City of Lakewood and further that this Council wishes him continued <br />years of success, health and prosperity in his.new endeavor. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to send a certiiFied copy of this <br />resolution to Leonard A. Mikula, 1341 Ethel Avenue, LakewOod, Ohio <br />44107 and that a copy of the resolution be spread upon the minutes <br />of this meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
