RESOLUTION NO. 5457 BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Wendling, Brown A RESOLUTION in memory of the late Judith DePauw, nurse technician at Lakewood Hospital. WHEREAS, Judith DePauw was born in Lakewood, attended Lakewood Schools and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974, and WHEREAS, since January 1975, Judith DePauw, a student at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, brought comfort and kindness to others, first as a dedicated patient care assistant and more recently as a nurse technician at Lakewood Hospital, and WHEREAS, on Friday, February 15, 1980~ Judith DePauw came upon the scene of an automobile accident on Bro0kpark Road in Cleveland~ Ohio and without regard for her own Safety and welfare, immediately and without hesitation left her own automobile to give aid and comfort to the victims of said accident,~ and WHEREAS, while so administering to the injured, the short life of Judith DePauw was tragically ended as a result of injuries suffered after being struck by two passing moto= vehicles, and WHEREAS, Judith DePauw exemplified thel highest standard of dedication and devotion of the nursing professioln and this Council wishes to honor her memory and to extend condolences to her family; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE ClITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Lakewood City Council honors the memory of Judith DePauw and extends deepest sympsthy to her parents, Howard and Joan DePauw, and to her Brothers Michael and David and Sister Jean on the loss of their beloved daughter and sister. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the family of Judith DePauw and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
