RESOLUTION NO. 5482 <br /> <br />BY: Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> Brow,, Chinnock, Gallagher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director oflPublic Works to <br />enter into a contract for the purchase of approximately Six thousand tons <br />of sodium chloride (rock salt) for a period of one year aommencing September <br />1, 1980 after advertising according to law. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide safety for vehicular and pedestrian <br />traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to purabase salt and, <br /> <br /> WttEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the immediate preservation of the public health, safety,, and welfare, and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department,,now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWODD~ STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract for thelpurchase of <br />approximately six thousand tons of sodium chloride (rockl salt) for the <br />period commencing September 1, 1980 and ending August 311, 1981, after <br />advertising according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declaredl to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof an~ provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon itls adoption and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br /> , <br /> Clerk <br /> <br /> PROVE <br /> <br /> <br />
