RESOLUTION NO. 5491 <br /> <br />BY: McBride, Salmon, Brown, Chinnock, <br /> Gallagher, Graham. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor on behalf of certain <br />Lakewood property owners to make application for a matching grant to the Ohio <br />Department of Natural Resources for funding pursuant to the Lake Shore Erosion <br />Protection Fund for the purchase of constructing and/or maintaining a project <br />to prevent, correct and arrest shore erosion. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br />provideS for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and wel- <br />are; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to make application on behalf of certain Lakewood property owners for a match- <br />ing grant to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for funding pursuant to <br />the Lake Shore Erosion Protection Fund for the purchase of constructing and/or <br />maintaining a project to prevent, correct and arrest shore erosion. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to include a provision in the grant application that all matching funds requested <br />pursuant to the grant award shall be provided by the Lakewood property owners <br />who shall be the beneficiaries of said grant. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-th~rds of alt <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:,~ /~. <br /> <br /> <br />
