RESOLUTION NO. 5491 BY: McBride, Salmon, Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor on behalf of certain Lakewood property owners to make application for a matching grant to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for funding pursuant to the Lake Shore Erosion Protection Fund for the purchase of constructing and/or maintaining a project to prevent, correct and arrest shore erosion. WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it provideS for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and wel- are; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1o That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to make application on behalf of certain Lakewood property owners for a match- ing grant to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for funding pursuant to the Lake Shore Erosion Protection Fund for the purchase of constructing and/or maintaining a project to prevent, correct and arrest shore erosion. Section 2. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to include a provision in the grant application that all matching funds requested pursuant to the grant award shall be provided by the Lakewood property owners who shall be the beneficiaries of said grant. Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-th~rds of alt members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
