RESOLUTION NO. 5497 <br /> <br />BY: B~own, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> G~aham, McBride, Salmon, <br /> Wendling <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend the Citizens Financiall Advisory Committee <br />for its service to the City of Lakewood and extending th~ appreciation of <br />Council to each Committee member. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following the defeat of the ½% City income tax increase <br />on June 3, 1980, nineteen residents of the City, in response to the joint <br />request of the Mayor and Lakewood City Council, volunteelred to serve as <br />members of a Citizens Financial Advisory Committee,~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in carrying out the goals of the Commiittee, the members <br />reviewed and analyzed hundreds of pages of budget documelnts and memoranda, <br />personally interviewed Administration personnel and, indluding the subcommittee's <br />established, held over thirty meetings involving more th~n 675 hours of study <br />and deliberation, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the final Report and Recommendations Iof the Citizens <br />Financial Advisory Committee reflects a deep insight andl keen understanding <br />of the f~nances of the City and will be of extreme valuel to the City not only <br />for the present but in the years ahead, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the outstanding public <br />service rendered by each member of the Citizens Financiall Advisory Committee <br />be given public cognizance and recognition~ now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Council of the City of Lakewoed commends the <br />Citizens Financial Advisory Committee for its outstanding public service to <br />the City of Lakewood and extends to each member of the Qommittee its sincere <br />appreciation. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and She is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to James J. Flannery, <br />Chairman, Citizens Financial Advisory Committee, 18143 Clifton Road, Lakewood, <br />Ohio 44107, and to each member of the Citizens Financial Advisory Committee <br />and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
