RESOLUTION NO. 5505 <br /> <br />BY:' <br /> <br />Wendling, Brown, Chinnock, <br />Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br />Salmon <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending the St. Luke's School football team on winning <br />the Greater Cleveland championship of the Catholic YouthlOrganization Football <br />League - Midget Division for the 1980 football season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the leadership of Coach Jerry Barry, the St. Luke's <br />School football team, composed of 7th and 8th grade youn§sters was the <br />West Side Division winner of the C.Y.O. Football League ~ Midget Division <br />for the 1980 football season, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 16, 1980 the St. Luke's School football team <br />climaxed an undefeated season with a victory over the EaSt Side C.Y.O. Division <br />Champions to become the undisputed champion of the C.Y.O. Football League - <br />Midget Division for the entire Greater Cleveland area, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by this outstanding accomplishment,these young people have <br />brought due recognition and honor not only to themselves and.their dearly loved <br />St. Luke's School but to the entire community and such adcomplishment should <br />be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council extends its congratulations <br />and commends the St. Luke's School football team for its outstanding achievement <br />on winning the Greater Cleveland championship of the CathJolic Youth Organization <br />Football League - Midget Division for the 1980 football sleason. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
