RESOLUTION NO. 5511 BY: BroWn, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> GraHam, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget <br />Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them <br />to the County Auditor, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council in accordance with the p~ovisions of law has <br />previously adopted a tax budget for the next succeedihg fiscal year <br />commencing January 1, 1981, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Budget Commission of Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio, has <br />certified its action thereon to this Council togetherlwith an estimate <br />by the County Auditor of the rate of each tax necessary to be levied by <br />this Council, and what part thereof is without, and what part is within, <br />the tO mill tax limitation; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section I. That the amounts and rates, as determinedlby the Budget Com- <br />mission in its certification, be and the same are hereby accepted <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of this Council be and she is hereby directed <br />to certify a copy of this resolution to the County Auditor of said County. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary <br />to adopt and certify to the County Auditor the City's acceptance of the <br />levies of taxes to be made on the 1980 duplicate for collection in 1981 <br />in order to comply with the statutes of the State and to provide sources <br />of revenue for municipal operation during 1981, and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approv- <br />al by the~. <br />Adopted: .~/)~ /o~//~/0 <br /> <br />Approved:~~/~,/qoO0 <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
