<br /> RESOLUTION N0. 5654 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend John J. Utrata, for his twenty one years of <br /> <br /> devoted public service including seven years of service as the Clerk of the <br /> Lakewood Municipal Court. <br /> WHEREAS, John J. Utrata commenced his career as a public servant in <br /> 1960 with the Parks Department of the City of Lakewood, and was appointed a <br /> <br /> Deputy Clerk of the Lakewood Municipal Court in 1967, and <br /> WHEREAS, John J. Utrata was appointed to the position of Clerk of <br /> <br /> the Lakewood Municipal Court in 1974, and in that capacity has rendered <br /> <br /> outstanding service to the Court and to the City of Lakewood, and <br /> WHEREAS, through the years he has won the respect and affection of <br /> his collegues throughout the State of Ohio as evidenced by his frequent <br /> appointment to the many committees periodically established to promote increased <br /> <br /> efficiency in civil, criminal and court procedures, and <br /> WHEREAS, John J. Utrata is an active member of the Ohio Association <br /> of Municipal Court Clerks, in which organization he served as President, 1979- <br /> 1980, and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1977, John J. Utrata was named by the Ohio Association of <br /> <br /> Municipal Court Clerks as the outstanding Clerk of Courts in the State of Ohio, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, he was an active member of The Northeast Ohio Municipal <br /> Court Clerks and Deputies Association and served as its President, and <br /> WHEREAS, John J. Utrata. has not only been an outstanding and inspiring <br /> leader in his chosen profession, but has also been active in community and <br /> <br /> church affairs, being a lifetime member of St. Cyril & Methodius Church, and <br /> WHEREAS, such dedication to duty and years of public service should <br /> be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. Lakewood City Council extends to John J. Utrata upon his <br /> retirement its apprecition and the appreciation of all of the citizens of this <br /> <br /> community for his twenty one years of devoted public service and in particular <br /> his seven years of outstanding service as the Clerk of the Lakewood Municipal <br /> <br /> Court and further that this Council wishes him continued years of service, suc- <br /> cess, health and prosperity. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to John J.
