RESOLUTION N0, 5696 B`(: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A.N EMERGENCI' RESOLUTIpN authorizing the Mayor on behalf of certain <br /> Lakewood property owners to make application for a matching 1/3 (one-.third) <br /> grant to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for funding pursuant to <br /> the Lake Shore'Erosion Protection Fund for the purpose of constructing and/or <br /> <br /> maintaining a breakwall to prevent, correct and arrest shore erosion. <br /> (,Lakewood Breakwall Project #4) <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated total cost of this breakwall project to prevent, <br /> correct and arrest shore erosion has been determined to be approximately <br /> $156,000 (One IHundred and Fifty Six Thousand Dollars), and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires to request on behalf of the <br /> effected property owners of the City a 1/3 (.one-third) matching grant from <br /> the Lake ShorelErosion Protection Fund in an amount not to exceed $52,000 <br /> (,Fifty Two Thousand Dollars), and <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolutipn constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br /> the. immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, now; <br /> therefore, <br /> BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1, That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to make application on behalf of certain Lakewood property owners fora 1/3 <br /> (one-third) matching grant to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for <br /> funding pursuant to the Lake. Shpre Erosion Protection Fund for the purpose <br /> of constructing) and/or maintaining a breakwall to prevent, correct and arrest <br /> shore erosion.. (Lakewood Breakwall Project #4) <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to include d pr'ovi'sion in the grant application that all matching funds requested <br /> pursuant to the grant award shall be provided by the Lakewood property owners <br /> who shall be the beneficiaries of said grant. <br /> Section 3, it is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br /> Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted <br /> in an open meetring of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this <br /> Council and of .any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were <br /> in meetings opeh tp the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br /> Section 121.22. of the Ohio Revised Code, <br /> Section 4.
