<br /> RESOLUTION NO.: 5699 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works <br /> to enter into a contract for the purchase of approximately six thousand <br /> tons of sodium chloride (rock salt) for a period of one year commencing <br /> <br /> October 1, 1982 with the lowest and best bidder after advertising <br /> according to law. <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide safety for vehicular and pedestrian <br /> traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to purchase salt <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br /> for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare <br /> and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE WOOD, OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br /> hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br /> purchase of approximately six thousand tons of sodium chloride (rock <br /> salt) for the period commencing October 1, 1982 and ending September <br /> 30, 1983, with the lowest and best bidder after advertising according <br /> to law. <br /> Section 2.
