RESOLUTION N0. 5793-83 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> I <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to <br /> enter into an agreement with and to adminster and budget Litter <br /> Control Grants from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Office <br /> of Litter Control. <br /> WHEREAS, litter is unsightly, unsanitary and creates blighting <br /> conditions, and <br /> <br /> ~ WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Council recognizes the existence of <br /> a litter problem within the boundries of the City of Lakewood and the <br /> need tp address the programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitiutes an emergency measure pro- <br /> viding for. the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br /> and welfare and for the further reason that the funds are available. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY O.F LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO:. <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, be <br /> and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter Into an agreement <br /> with and to budget and adminster all grants recieved from the Ohio <br /> Department of Natural Resources., Office of Litter Control allocated <br /> from the Litter Control Act of 1980. <br /> Section 2. It is found and dertermined that all formal actions <br /> of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution <br /> were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such di~ <br /> liberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in <br /> such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance <br /> with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br /> Code. <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> Adopted: ~ 0~ <br /> R ID ~~TQ~ <br /> ~.E.R ~OUI-Yit~+~~ ~R. <br /> Approved~~1R~~-r~~e-tom '7. //~d3 M OR <br /> <br />
