RESOLUTION N0. 5834-84 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Dr. Richard A. Boyd on <br /> being named one of 100 Top Executive Educators in North America by The <br /> Executive Educator magazine. <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Richard A. Boyd, Superintendent of Schools, Lakewood <br /> Board of Education has been named one of 100 Top Executive Educators in North <br /> America by The Executive Educator magazine out of a field of some 300,000 <br /> working school executives, and <br /> WHEREAS, the leadership criteria used by a panel of nine independent <br /> jurors for the selection of the Top Educators included competence in fulfilling <br /> administrative assignments; effectiveness in maintaining and improving academic <br /> achievement; success in conceiving and implementing improvements in curriculum; <br /> and excellence in human relations, and <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Boyd, one of only three Ohio educators to be so honored, <br /> has been Superintendent of Lakewood Public Schools since 1975, is one of ten <br /> members on the Executive Committee of the American Association of School Adminis- <br /> trators and is a past president of the Buckeye Association of School Administra- <br /> tors, and <br /> WHEREAS, in receiving this most prestigious recognition, Dr. Boyd has <br /> brought great honor and pride not only to the Lakewood Public School system, <br /> but to the entire Lakewood community and all of its residents as well; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Dr. Richard A. Boyd its con- <br /> gratulations, and that of all of the citizens of this community on being named <br /> one of 100 Top Executive Educators in North America by The Executive Educator <br /> magazine and wishes him continued years of happiness and success in his chosen <br /> profession. <br /> Section 2.
