RESOLUTION N0. 5888-84 BY:Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> AM EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, ex-officio Director of <br /> Public Safety, to enter into a contract for the purchase and installation <br /> of video surveillance equipment as needed for security of the Jail and <br /> Police complex as authorized by the 1984 Appropriation Ordinance. <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br /> provides for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br /> and welfare and. for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br /> now, therefore: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, ex-officio Director of Public Safety, be and <br /> he is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the purchase <br /> of eleven video cameras, six 9" monitors .and necessary auxiliary equipment <br /> and supplies as authorized by the 1984 Appropriation Ordinance and enter <br /> into a contract with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement <br /> according to law. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all forma]. acti:on:of this <br /> Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted <br /> in an open meeting of this Council and that all such deliberations of this <br /> Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, <br /> were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal require- <br /> ments including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> Section 3.
