i <br /> F I N A L R E S O L U T I O N <br /> 5993-85 <br /> A Resolution adopting plans, proposing to cooperate and re- <br /> questing the Director to proceed in the upgrading of the existing <br /> traffic systems on U. S. Route 6A, Lake Avenue, Madison Avenue, <br /> Hilliard/Franklin Blvds. Sec. 0.56 in the City of Lakewood, Ohio, <br /> Cuyahoga County. Project Designation M-1D99(12) <br /> Mr. Salmon moved the adopting of the following Resolution: <br /> WHEREAS, At a meeting of the legislative authority of Lakewood, Ohio, held in <br /> the office of said legislative authority on this day of <br /> October 1985, a quorum being present, the improvement <br /> of U. 5. Route No, fiA, Lake Avenue, Madison Avenue, Hilliard Avenue and Franklin <br /> blvd., under the provisions of Chapter 5521, Ohio Revised Code, came on for <br /> further consideration; said portion of highway as described in the legislation <br /> proposing cooperation with the Director of Transportation, enacted on the 8th <br /> day of April, 1980,being described as follows: <br /> The upgrading of the existing traffic systems on U. S. Route No. 6A, from <br /> Graber Drive to Hird Avenue, on Lake Avenue> from Webb Road to Cove Avenue, <br /> on Madison Avenue, from State Route No. 237 to West 117th Street, on Hilliard <br /> i Road, from State Route No. 237 to Warren Road and on Franklin Boulevard, <br /> from Warren Road to Newman Avenue, lying within the City of Lakewood. Total <br /> length of work being approximately 13.104 miles <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, In said legislation proposing cooperation, said legislative authority <br /> <br /> ` proposes to cooperate with the Director of Transportation in the improvement I <br /> of U. S. Route No. 6A, Lake Avenue, Madison Avenue, Hilliard Road and Franklin Boulevard, <br /> by assuming and contributing the entire cost and expense of the improvement less the amount <br /> of Federal Funds set aside by the Director of Transportation and the Northeast Ohio Area- <br /> wide Coordinating Agency for the financing of this improvement from funds allocated <br /> by the Federal Highway Administration; and further, the Gity agrees to assume and bear <br /> One Hundred percent (100k) of the cost of Preliminary Engineering and Right-of-Way. <br /> The Director of Transportation notwithstanding the percentage basis of contribution <br /> may allocate the money contributed in whatever manner he may deem necessary in <br /> financing the cost of construction, rights-of-way, engineering and incidental <br /> expenses. The tota} share of the cost for the City of Lakewood, Ohio, is now <br /> estimated in the amount of Eight Hundred Nineteen Thousand Forty Five - - - - - - - <br /> - - - - - -00(100 Dollars, ($819,045.00), but said estimated amount is to be <br /> adjusted in order that the City's ultimate share of the cost of said improvement <br /> shall correspond with said percentages of actual cost when said actual costs <br /> are determined <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The Director of Transportation has approved said legislation <br /> proposing cooperation and has caused to be made plans and specifications and <br /> an estimate of cost and expense for improving the ahove described highway and <br /> has transmitted copies of same to this legislative authority <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, This legislative authority desires the Director of Transportation <br /> to proceed with the aforesaid highway improvement. <br /> <br />
