lv <br /> P.ESOLUTIODI No. 6066-86 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Eleanor Chapman for her <br /> distinguished community service to the City of Lakewood. <br /> laHRREAS, Eleanor Chapman, a former teacher,was <br /> appointed to the Board of Education of the Lakewood City <br /> School District in May, 1979 and served the Board ably <br /> anal with distinction until her resignation effective <br /> May 12, 1986, including a term as President of the Board <br /> in 1983 and, <br /> 6T4iERF.AS, Mrs. Chapman's dedication to the wet- <br /> fare of this community is evidenced by her service as a <br /> Past President of the Lakewood PTA Council, .Junior I•iomen's <br /> Club of Lakewood., Lakewood Commission on Aging, College <br /> Club wrest and as a Director of the Lakewood League of <br /> Ldomen Voters and, <br /> FIIIEP,EAS, Eleanor Chapman was also President of <br /> Lakewood Safety Council, Vice-President of the Greater <br /> Cleveland Safety Council and a member of the AAA Safety <br /> Advisory Board as well as serving a term as Foreman of <br /> the Grand Jury of the Common Pleas Court of Cuyahoga <br /> County, and, <br /> l+IIiEREAS, due to business and personal opportunities <br /> Mrs. Chapman and her family are leaving the Lakewood com- <br /> munity to take up residence in Holmes County, Ohio and <br /> it is fitting and proper that her extensive community <br /> service be given public cognizance and recognition, now <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> LAKEGTOOD, STATE OF!OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Eleanor <br /> Chapman its appreciation and that of all of the citizens <br /> of this community for her years of distinguished community <br /> service to the City of Lakewood and further, that this <br /> Council wishes her continued happiness and success in her <br /> new surroundings. <br /> Section 2.
