RESOLUTION N0. 6074-86 BYz Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, ldendling <br /> A RESOLUTION to request Governor Richard F. Celeste to <br /> direct the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 12 Office, to <br /> correct the existing traffic hazard on Interstate 90 between the Alger <br /> Road and Carabel Avenue overpasses in the City of Lakewood. <br /> WHEREAS, the City is continuously receiving complaints from <br /> residents of Lakewood Heights Boulevard regarding the condition of <br /> Interestate 9GJ between the Alger Road and Carabel Avenue overpasses in <br /> the City of Lakewood, and <br /> WHEREAS, the substantial bump in both the east and westbound <br /> lanes due to pavement buckling has caused not only substantial noise <br /> and vibration disturbance when trucks pass over this obvious nuisance, <br /> but has resulted in physical damage to nearby residences in the form <br /> of cracked plaster, and <br /> WHEREAS, repeated requests by the City to the District 12 <br /> Office of the Ohio Department of Transportation to correct the <br /> aforementioned roadway hazard, have gone unanswered, and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the elimination of <br /> the bothersome and damaging problem existing on Interstate 9fd should <br /> be eliminated at the earliest possible time in the interest of the <br /> public safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council for and on behalf of the <br /> residents of the City of Lakewood hereby respectfully requests <br /> Governor Richard F. Celeste to direct the Ohio Department of <br /> Transportation, District 12 Office, Cleveland, Ohio, to correct the <br /> existing traffic hazard on Interstate 9H between the Alger Road and <br /> Carabel Avenue overpasses in the City of Lakewood and to cause said <br /> repairs to be completed at the earliest possible time. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br /> to Governor Richard F.
