<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 6080-86 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, <br /> on behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept a job training grant <br /> and enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Office of <br /> Employment and Training under the auspices of the Cuyahoga <br /> County Commissioners to provide for youth preemployment and work <br /> maturity skills for the Youth Service Office of the City of <br /> Lakewood. <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Employment and Training Administration <br /> under the auspices of the Cuyahoga County Commissioners has <br /> advised the City of its intent to contract with the Lakewood Youth <br /> Service for the program year 1986 under Title IIA of the Job Train- <br /> ing Partnership Act (JTPA), and <br /> WHEREAS, said contract will be for youth preemployment and work <br /> maturity skills whereby approximately 85 youths will be served at <br /> a cost not to exceed $76,000, and <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br /> providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br /> safety and welfare and for the further reason that the funds can be <br /> made available to the City at the present time; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor for and on behalf of the City, be and he <br /> is hereby authorized to accept a job training grant and enter into a <br /> contract with the Office of Employment and Training Administration <br /> under the auspices of the Cuyahoga County Commissioners in the approx- <br /> imate amount of $76,000 for a youth preemployment and work maturity <br /> skills program for the Youth Service Office of the City. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br /> this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution <br /> were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br /> deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br /> resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, <br /> in compliance with all legal requirements including Secion 121.22 <br /> of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> Section 3.
