<br /> RESOLUTION N0. 6147-87 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor for and on behalf of the <br /> <br /> City of Lakewood to negotiate and to secure a proposal fox the <br /> <br /> purchase of the property located at the southeast corner of Clifton <br /> Boulevard and West Clifton Boulevard (Permanent Parcel No. 311-2m-1) <br /> from Lakewood Ohio Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Inc. at a <br /> price not to exceed ten percent above the appraised value as shown by <br /> the City's appraisal dated May 19, 1987. <br /> WHEREAS, the City has become aware that the vacant land <br /> situated at the southeast corner of Clifton Boulevard and West Clifton <br /> Boulevard in the City of Lakewood owned by the Lakewood Ohio <br /> Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Inc. is available for purchase, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that it is in the best <br /> interest of the City to purchase said property to be used for a public <br /> purpose, and <br /> WHEREAS, the administration has obtained an appraisal of <br /> said property dated May 19, 1987; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to negotiate and to secure a proposal for the purchase of <br /> the property located at the southeast corner of Clifton Boulevard and <br /> West Clifton Boulvaxd in the City (Permanent Parcel No. 311-20-1) <br /> owned by the Lakewood Ohio Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Inc. <br /> at a price not to exceed ten percent above the appraised value as <br /> refected by the appraisal obtained by the City dated May 19, 1987. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br /> actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br /> resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br /> all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br /> that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br /> public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> Section 3.
