RESOLUTION N0. 6165-87 BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling A RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into a contract or contracts with the lowest and best bidder(s) for the purchase and/or rental of uniforms for the various employees of Engineering, Office on Aging, Parks, Refuse, Streets, Wastewater and Water. WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Lakewood will furnish uniforms for certain employees, and, WHEREAS, our present contract for the above service has expired, and, WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure provid- ing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, now, therefore: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase and/or rental of uniforms for various employees of the Divisions of Engineering, Office on Aging, Parks, Refuse, Streets, Wastewater and Water, with the lowest and best bidder(s), after advertising according to law, for a period of three years, comrt;encing August 1, 1987. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such. deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all beg al requirements. Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall be deemed to be of ct u n its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
