RESOLUTION N0. 6208-87 gY; Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to the St. Luke Junior Varsity Championship Football Team, WHEREAS, on Sunday, November 1st, the St. Luke Crusaders won the CYO Junior Varsity Division I competition Tri-County Football championship under the lights at Finney Stadium, and WHEREAS, the Crusaders exhibited great skill and sportsmanship, culminating in a season record of 8 and 0, giving them the best Junior Varsity football record in the St. Luke School history, and WHEREAS, the coaches of this championship team have given selflessly of their time and energy to guide and cheer this team to victory, WHEREAS, on Sunday, November 8th, St. Luke's culminated their season with a victory over St. Mary's of Berea in the annual Rosary Bowl at the new Lakewood High School football field, and WHEREAS, by their outstanding athletic accomplishments and good sportsmanship, together with the expert guidance of their dedicated coaches, the St. Luke Crusader Football Team has brought position, recognition and honor not only to themselves, but to our entire community; now, therefore, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council extends to the St. Luke Crusader Football Team its congratulations, and that of all of the citizens of the Lakewood community, for its outstanding athletic achievements during the 1987 Junior Varsity football season. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the St. Luke Junior Varsity Crusader Football Team, in care of Coach Jack Daley, 1263 Giel Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
