<br /> RESOLUTION N0. 6222-88 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Gazzana, George., Graham, Wendlin9 <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend John G. Salmon for his public <br /> service as a Councilman of the City of Lakewood. <br /> WHEREAS, John G. Salmon was elected to the office of <br /> <br /> Councilman of Ward 2 in the City of Lakewood for the term commencing <br /> January 1, 1976, and served continuously in that capacity until <br /> December 31, 1987, and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Salmon ably and with distinction served this <br /> Council and the community as Vice President of Council for the years <br /> 1978 and 1979, in addition to having served as Chairman of numerous <br /> committees of Council including the vital Zoning and Planning <br /> Committee, and <br /> WHEREAS, during his twelve year tenure as a Councilman, Mr. <br /> Salmon was recognized as a conscientious, effective and respected <br /> legislator, working diligently and extensively for the promotion, <br /> progress and betterment of the City of Lakewood and all of its <br /> residents, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the outstanding <br /> public service rendered by John G. Salmon as a Lakewood Councilman be <br /> given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to John G. Salmon its <br /> appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his <br /> twelve years of distinguished public service as Councilman of Ward 2 <br /> of the City of Lakewood and further that this Council wishes him <br /> continued years of success, health, happiness and prosperity in the <br /> days and years ahead. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br /> to Mr. John G.
