RESOLUTION N0. 6268-88 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gazzana, George, <br /> Graham, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION to establish Tuesday, May 17, 1988 as <br /> Senior Citizens Day in the City of Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood is home to 16,000 older adults whose <br /> experiences and wisdom are a natural golden resource, and <br /> WHEREAS, the volunteer contributions of senior citizens <br /> in the schools, senior centers, hospital and community boards indi- <br /> cates their commitment to the City of Lakewood, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Department on Aging's Gold Coast <br /> Follies musical revue will be featured on this date at-the Justice <br /> Center for the benefit of all citizens, and <br /> WHEREAS, activities and special events honoring senior <br /> citizens are planned at each of Lakewood's senior centers as well <br /> as across the State of Ohio in keeping with the theme of the day, <br /> "A Celebration of Age"; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL .OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council for and on behalf of the <br /> citizens of Lakewood establish Tuesday, May 17, 1988 as Senior <br /> Citizen Day in the City of Lakewood. <br /> Section 2.
