RESOLUTION NO: <br /> <br />6339-89 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, C.hinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION .authorizing and directing the Mayor <br />to enter into an agreement with and to administer and budget the <br />Emergency Shelter Grant Program from the U. S. Department of Housing & <br />Urban Development. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received an Emergency <br />Shelter Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development <br />in the amount of $26,000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that the funds are available. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. 'That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of <br />Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />agreement with and to budget and administer all grants received from <br />the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Approved:~ <br /> <br /> <br />
